Our Murder Mystery Company, Murder by Design, has been actively involved in the business of Mystery Dinners for over 30 years. Members of the team were only the second in the country to present mystery parties. They have become well known for their funny and original stories. The stories range from 1600’s to the stylish 1930’s and on to the hi-tech near future.
Murder by Design has had their murder mystery dinners featured on two prime time TV shows for HTV Television and BBC film night. Where they performed the very first murder mystery in a cinema!
The actors have performed for thousands of clients, ranging from Private Parties to large scale Corporate Events. They have been seen at many of the most famous hotel chains. They have also performed in Castles, Country Manor hotels and more unusual venues including a battleship and on board the world famous Orient Express! Especially in Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Birmingham and London.
Murder Mystery Dinners – for a few or many guests
Murder by design offer two murder mystery dinner options.
- The classic is performed by five actors including a detective.
The actors arrive in character. They set the scene during pre-dinner drinks. They then join guests for dinner during which the action (including a death or two) takes place. The evening concludes with a stunning denouement during which the murderer is finally discovered.
- The Interactive Murder Mystery Dinner. Two members of our team (the detective and one other) set the scene at the pre-dinner drinks where they invite six members of the party to become the suspects of a dastardly murder that has already, recently taken place. After dinner guests are split into teams and the investigation begins!
As well as the traditional style murder mystery evenings and weekends Murder by Design are able to offer bespoke daytime or evening treasure hunt murder mystery events at a location of your choice.
